Chief is AMHA / AMHR / & PINTO registered, 33.50".

Chief is a wonderful stallion. He has been used by us exclusively for the last 8 years.  He has given us 85% Pintos and 95% of those being black and white.  He produces 75% fillies.  Chief was shown in Pleasure driving placed in the top ten.  He was shown at Pinto at age 22 and placed in the top five in both color and halter.  We are successfully showing his get. Chief is a true Black and throws that to his foals.  His sire is the first Appaloosa to be registered with the AMHA.  Chief however has no Appaloosa genes and has never sired a horse with Appaloosa characteristics when bred to a mare that has no Appaloosa breeding.  He is grand fathered in with the Pinto association so his foals are Pinto eligable if they show no Appaloosa charactoristics. At 26 this year, he is still going strong and he thinks he is only five so we don't tell him any diferently.

Red is a super little horse.  He caries the Overo gene and has produced  our Pinto chestnut colt, TBD Lucky Reds Gaelic Splendor and just this year he gave us a beautiful Tovero filly with a bald face and two blue eyes.  We also have a lovely Red Dun filly by him.  We feel he is going to give us a lot of nice foals.

Thunder is our special boy.  His disposition is sweet and very willing.  He was shown in 2004 in Pinto and he placed Reserve thru 4th place with all six judges in color and halter. He was shown in AMHA and Pinto for 2005 and did extremely well.  We are very proud of him.  He is also in training for Pleasure driving as he is a sweet mover and because he likes to jump he will be in training for Hunter Jumper.  We have high hopes for Thunder and plan to use him next year in our breeding program.

Splendor AKA "Grasshopper"  is my daughters pride and joy and her baby.  She has shown him in 2004 as a yearling in Pinto and in AMHA and he placed with all judges 2nd thru 5th place in color and halter.  He was shown in Pinto and AMHA shows for 2005 and placed in the top five with several firsts.  He gave us an exceptional Pinto filly this year.  Look for her on our sale page.

We are proud to announce the co-ownership of this remarkable horse with Glenda and Dick Cable of First Love Farm.  Stars is an awesome little horse.   His get have done extremely well in the show ring. He has sired reginal and national champions.  Now we at Thistle Bury Downs have the opportunity to promote his foals.  We have an extremely nice Pinto filly for 2006 by Stars.  Look at our sale page for her.
